Brown, Cindi. Organizational Recognition Building Through Competitive Participation and Teamwork. Host organization: Great Lakes University of Kisumu in Kenya (GLUK)

Abstract: Working as marketing manager for GLUK allowed me access to experience first-hand the university’s community partnership program at work in rural areas. I was able to use this knowledge of the university’s curriculum and “community college” approach, along with my events planning skills, to build an award-winning exhibit at the annual Regional Agricultural Show with the assistance of my university colleagues.
