 River of Life is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to international development through volunteer work. River of Life collects, shares, and celebrates the successes of international volunteers and holds the simple “volunteer vision” – to join together and make a difference. In response to global challenges, international volunteers embrace the opportunity to contribute, exploring sustainability through action, with the intention and hope of facilitating positive change. We have a clear vision of global equity, peace, cross-cultural synergy and sustainability. About the LogoThe symbols within the River of Life logo are written in “cuneiform,” the oldest known written language. Cuneiform, in some ways, represents the first formal communication strategy that documented ideas and beliefs, and today it provides a record for reflection. River of Life is intended as a continuance of cunieform’s initial “publication strategy” with a focus on cross-cultural change, international development, and transformation.
